Our Coaches

Jane Loomis

Head Swim Coach

Coach Jane Loomis was a 4-year varsity swimmer at Grapevine & Northwest High Schools. She competed at UIL Regionals and Districts in several individual and relay events. She also swam in USA Swim programs from elementary through college (MCST/GCAT/MARS). She attended Texas A&M University, where she graduated as an International Studies major, minoring in History & German. In college, she taught private swim lessons, assisted local Bryan/College Station USA Swimming & TAAF Summer league teams, and lifeguarded at Texas A&M Natatorium. For the past 13 years, she has run a swim lesson program and is Head Coach for a TAAF swim team in Denton County, servicing about 700-800 swimmers each summer. Before becoming a teacher and high school coach, she worked as a public servant in the federal government for over 11 years. Coach Loomis can be contacted at jane.loomis@pisd.edu.

Amanda Rieff

Head Diving Coach and Assistant Swim Coach

Coach Amanda Rieff is in her 2nd year as the Diving Coach for Plano Senior High School and 1st year as Assistant JV Swim Coach. She has taught and coached for the past 14 years at Ursuline Academy and Lovejoy High School. During her coaching career she has won TAPPS swimming and diving state championship titles 4 times and produced several individual state champions. During the 2020-2021 school year she was recognized as the District 7 Diving Coach of the Year. Amanda is an alumna of Plano East Senior High where she swam for 3 years and was part of the record setting 200 freestyle relay. She is a graduate of Ball State University where she was a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team. Coach Rieff can be contacted at amanda.rieff@pisd.edu.
